Recommendation Letter

Image
Tshering Tshomo, PC: Her Facebook page I was approached by Ms.  Tshering Tshomo , who has been associated with me during her stay over MHPA to provide her with a recommendation letter which is the main requisite for job application in one of the organizations. It was like a shockwave entering my nerves and making my whole body numb for minutes.  Never was that offer expected nor deserved. Someone is looking up to me for they want to include me in their referee.  I am honored to be part of Tshering's career even though nothing extraordinary is done to impact her career. If something is found by her which I don't know what I possess then I am to stand upright and live up to her expectations. I don't possess any qualities to be appreciated nor do I have capabilities to shoulder that responsibility. I am living within the grace of God (Lam Ken Cho Sum).  I don't want to be recognized nor do I want to be named. I am living my simple life bounded by uncomplicated rules. If I

Through my Verandah

A scene from my Verandah Looking through my Verandah; I can hear the soaring river flowing down the Thruepang Palace, Rarely see people moving around; freely, Dogs sleeping, stretching their legs high on the road; freely, Movement of vehicles lessen to the minimum, Right view is the stores of Rabten Enterprise and Anjuli Tshongkhang; Trucks come to store for stockpiling, Boleros & Hilux lined up to take their share, Reaching all essentials to every corner, Dessups unloading/loading the packed goods, Every ordered item, marked by the names with contact numbers, Off they go with full loads, - Daily scene. Some manage to walk nearby their corridor, Others found sitting ideally in their verandahs, There are some looking through the window; Evening time with drizzle from the sky, As I hold and my cup of tea, People after people stands in the open sky, Drenching themselves with the drizzling, Some praying with folded hands, And there came the news

Lockdown-1

Thayeden on a display of her favorite On 11th August 2020, in the history of Bhutan, for the first time, the nation observes Lockdown. Where the people are not allowed to come out and travel across the country is banned. The lockdown was imposed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus at Gelephu. The plan was successfully executed in tracing the direct contacts with the main victim and testing all the people. The news came as a surprise to everyone but the government was well prepared to sort the things out. Essential items were delivered to the doorstep and many toll-free numbers were provided to contact for the service. Dessups and armed forces are on the frontlines who left their families on a call of the nation. They eat in a makeshift and sleep in the designated place. Once all is over they need to go in quarantine for days.  Due to increasing numbers of cases for withdrawal at hospitals, the government goes beyond delivering the tobacco and alcohol products. Many ways and means to eas

July-2020 Pictorial representation

Image
July 2020 has been the busiest month for MHPAIANS. The month came to be full of stress. It is the month, one month notice has been served for those 179 employees of MHPA who shall leave by 1st August. With those leaving the project, only 7 contract/deputation employees are left in MHPA. Nevertheless, the O&M team is well set up with Handing/Taking to be completed by the end of July 2020. There seem to be masses going in/out of the office. I can see many new faces entering my office, greeting with a smile, some offering Doma for the signature in the No Due Form. I was like, "When did you join MHPA, Wish you Luck in future" .  Dam and UGPH people constantly attend the meeting after meeting - discussing the methodology to close the contract and the way forward in handing/taking. It was a surprise for me when I was nominated for taking over the charge of PMG and C&P (Project Monitoring Group and Contracts & Procurement). The funny part is that I prepare the handing/ta
