MHPA Adopts Druk Green Service Rule

The adoption of DGPC Service Rule came as a surprise to many of MHPAians. What surprises even more is that the adoption is w.e.f April 1st 2022 when the notice of adoption was issued at the end of April 2022. Why is it so desperate to adopt DGPC Service Rule? questioned by every employee silently. 

With the adoption, new pay and allowances scale changes after cutting down all the MHPA (Project) allowances. There are many cries and dissatisfaction amongst those affected portions of employees. Some ranks are changed from higher to lower. The pay was halved and there are other stories of crediting 100s after deduction of loans & advances. Some are said running to negative. Now, how are they going to sustain for a month-long with families? I wonder how they are managing it. It is said “Money isn’t everything”. But everything seems money in reality. Without it, nothing seems existence. Isn’t it too ad-hoc to implement the rule? Are we not supposed to have a notice beforehand? Mental preparation for a huge blow would have prevented all kinds of backfire/backbite. 

I wonder how those living in the core area of Thimphu or other major towns with a salary that merely meets the monthly expenditure. I too gave a thought of why many prefer going abroad, leaving behind their loved ones. 

Words are going on that 'A' from MHPA stands for Allowances and it is true. From one side of the story, we all should be thankful that we were drawing allowances even after commissioning of the project since September 2019. 

Many tried decoding the Service Rule and some even end up explaining the rule. There are many to get used to and many to mug up to have the growth of one's career.

COVID-19 is a Blessing

PC; Google Ever since WHO declared COVID-19 as a pandemic, many countries have limited the entry and exit, many have closed the borders and at an individual level, everyone takes the initiative to keep ourselves clean.   Every nation advises its citizens to stay at home and some companies have started to implement a strategy “Work from Home”.   Social distancing for a meter is recommended by WHO to prevent the spread of the virus.  Many deaths are reported. It was learned that the corpse are buried without proper funeral rites and the family members are not allowed to meet the deceased. Once the virus is infected, the victims are isolated in a separate room where none are allowed to visit. It is so heartening to see the rate of spreading is so high. Scientists are unable to understand the behavior of the virus to discover the antidote. On the other hand, the earth is healing with the reduction of pollution. With Nidup sir and Rohit (AE) I had a Team....... When I started my career, As an Assistant Engineer and  It was back in July-2012. I was new to the environment and place, It was my first time in Trongsa, Everything seems green and pure but Lots many have joined to roar.
