Thayeden’s First Day

Having you was a blessing.
Raising you was a journey.
Watching you grow was satisfying.
Standing with you was stunning.

Today, as you step to the temple of learning, I wish you the very best of luck. I am sure you will enjoy the journey ahead with loads of success. The step you are taking today will definitely shape the path and will help you to realize the dream that has been intact in your heart. This will guide you in finding the light in the darkness and helping you to have a fruitful thought.

Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) was founded in our country with a vision to reach the last mile for helping every child in improving and developing physically and emotionally. The growth of the child is very important in the early years of their life. ECCD is introduced in Bhutan, in every far-flung village, reaching every opportunity to every child to their doorstep. The education sector in our country leaves no stone unturned when it comes to providing the services. The children aged between 3-5 years enrolled in the ECCD center for building the foundation of their life.

Amongst the children, ECCD is known as a playground where they mingle with friends and play toys that are arranged for them to engage themselves. The tutors teach them the basic knowledge of lifestyles mostly cleanliness, nursery rhymes, alphabets, dance, singing, etc. If one observes the tutors carefully, I find it the most difficult job. Crying of children in the morning when they were left behind by the parents is the daily scene. Managing the kids to follow your order is challenging. Salute to all the tutors around the world who manage to handle the kids on a daily basis.

The first day of your ECCD (03.03.2020) was successful because you didn't cry although you were looking for your Ama time to time (for the fact that your Ama was waiting outside the whole session). Initially, you seem to be reluctant whenever we introduce you to Schooling. Many things are promised if you go to School which are yet to be fulfilled.
On the second day, it was awful to see you crying. It didn't go as per the plan. Your Ama was very furious with you. As promised, I sincerely hope that you won't repeat it for the days to come.

Thayeden, I am with the hope that I will get to learn more from you. You shall review the whole day learning when you get back home.

GOOD LUCK.
