Plugging of Adit-II

Panorama View of Junction, F3 & F4
With the start of Plugging works of Adit-II, I got mixed feelings of satisfaction and sadness.
I am satisfied with the fact that the works are getting completed as per the schedule and the progress was deemed satisfactory. I am also happy that the team has put up their expertise, our management has pushed the contractor to the limit and necessary manpower and machinery are deployed which ultimately made it possible to plug the Junction as on today. It is also pertinent to mention that the Team Adit-II has done a commendable job in supervising the work within the Technical specification and Construction Drawings. The team has rendered their dedication, sincerity, and hard work in completing the task and worked day and night to reach to this stage. Everyone is part of this success and this is the result of the teamwork. I congratulate all who have been part of this grand success and I wish everyone a similar success in the works inline.
Plugging work in progress

On the second note, I feel pitiful to see it plugged after having nurtured and groomed for the last 6 years. I feel like I am parting with the loved ones like I am not going to see it forever. For the past 6 years (+) Adit-II has been my home, my comfort, my life, my family (special relationship). Firstly it has provided me to enhance my hydropower career and taught me how to deal with the situation. It has rendered me with the life that has benefited me and my parents financially. Many have come and gone from this site but the old me who has started has determined to complete it. Finally, it is happening in front of my eyes that makes me emotionally breakable.
Now we are barred from entering to Face-III and Face-IV from the junction. The only way we can get in touch is either from Adit-I from Dam Site OR from Adit-III (Gated Adit). If we go via Adit-I we have to walk around 2.675KM to reach the junction and if you take the other option from Adit-III it is a 4.638KM walk. But towards the upstream all the electric cables has been removed, basically, you need to walk 2.675KM complete darkness. So the only option, if we wish to meet our junction is from Adit-III.

All I can wish and pray for our departed F3 & F4 is that, be strong, hold on to each other, don't erode with the pressure and be organized to let the discharge of 118m3/s to flow through. I hope F3 & F4 will make us proud, indeed make the nation proud in delivering the clean water to the UGPH. The whole nation will be witnessing the show on that day. With much trust and faith bestowed upon the HRT, it shall carry the water and churn the Pelton Wheel Turbines (4 Nos.) and generate 2925.25 MU of energy annually. It not only will benefit the citizens of the country but will unquestionably strengthen the economic stability of our country.

With much confidence and assurance, I am letting it go.

Goodbye (Kasam) Face-III & Face-IV.
