December

Thimphu TechPark
December month marks the end of the year. The year 2019 is coming to an end and when I realize it as the end, it gives me a feeling that it was like yesterday the year has started. Nevertheless, life should go on time should flow on. If I am to recapitulate the things I have done for the last year, I am sure that I won’t be having any specific time that I’ve made to call it a great time. However, I am happy that 2019 is ending without any illness and hoping beyond doubt that 2020 will help me stay fit.
December month is the month for the board examination of Class-XII, X & VIII students across the country. This exam will determine the life of the students where to land and determine the stepping stone in life. I wish all the students a very best of luck and a very happy winter vacation which you all are well deserved after rigorous studies.
December, the month is very significant for the people of Bhutan 🇧🇹. I can think of the year 1907 at this time, Bhutanese across the country from far-flung villages with their pony and bag packed, gathering towards Punakha Dzong. It is during that time of the year when the first hereditary king of Bhutan, Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuck was enthroned as the first King of Bhutan. When I think of the time, I am wondering how brave and how bold the people were when the decision of appointing the leader to rule the country is decided. They have thought enough of the past, present, and repercussions of the future of this country. I salute those people for the right choice at the right time. The kings have been farsighted for the wellbeing of the country and the people at large.

December month for MHPAians started with sad news for the Inventive office order stands cancelled. Some of the disgruntled employees might have complained to the higher authority and it was put into a halt until further direction. The irony was that those who were barking when the incentive order was issued are now maintaining a pin drop of silence. Neither the topic was discussed nor the decision was blamed. It’s the lower ranking people who talk and now it’s them who are affected mostly. I hope the authority will work in a more holistic way to come up with more innovative means to disburse the hard-earned money equally.

December for me has been more of a hectic month. The technical paper submission was done along with Biography and presentation slides (for 10 minutes) on 7th. The Panbang trip along with friends was cancelled when I decided to go to Gelephu. I have requested the vehicle and at the very last minute, the driver has informed me of his urgency to visit Nikachhu the same day and asked me to take the vehicle by myself. It was when I have requested Mr. Pema Wangchuk (SO) to accompany me. He graciously accepted my request and we have our journey started on 7th. We have touched a wide range of topics on our way ranging from Schooling life to Work-life. As we crossed towards bumpy roads of Umling, I can observe his dubious facial expression saying, why the hell did the Dungkhag office got shifted to Umling 😄😄😄😄
We have planned to visit his place at Jigmeling the next day, have lunch there and head towards Trongsa. He has informed his parents of his coming only to be canceled the next moment when the news of SAP Training was heard. The training was scheduled from 9-11th December which was mandatory for me to reach Thimphu the next day.

We started our journey by 5:00AM. We had our breakfast at Tingtibi. Reached Dangdung around 12:00PM and then headed to Dam Colony. At 1:30PM, I have started my second journey towards Thimphu and safely reached here at 7:00PM. It was a very tiring journey for 14 hours driving. Thank you, Pema for your company and the sleepless nights, two nights in a row might have been obsessed to travel with me in the future.

Today is my Day-3 in the Training hall here at Techpark and indeed the last day of the training. Updating all the way from Thimphu Techpark.
