Gyelposhing Town |
Started
from Dam Colony early in the morning of 20.12.2019 at 6:30 AM when the chilled
wind of Trongsa valley was busy making its entrance to the valley of Dam
Colony, hitting the already cold face making me shiver a bit. The coldness has
even made it worst traveling in the Bolero Camper that made me think that the basic necessity of Air Conditioning and Heater in the car should be
provided to all variants of the cars which leads to another dreamland of
the manufacturer world if that will affect their business? We are born in this
world alone and will be for sure with 100% guarantee, we shall be leaving this
beautiful world all by ourselves one day or the other. So, it’s not to yourself
that counts but to make others happy by the virtue of your living that will
live a long way in remembering you even if you are gone. I am sure that the
manufacturer will soon realize it and will provide the basic necessity
without shooting the price.

At Yotongla |
Anyways,
there we reached Yotongla, trees carrying loads of ice, standing still and
making the commuters smile. Some even make it a point to stop and snap the stunning serene and making it more lively to nature. Then came to Gaytsa,
a plain village which makes me to imagine, what if Thimphu is here? It would
have been well planned. There must have been more development with better
structures. Crossing Ura and it's ongoing Chorten Construction where some say,
it has been like ages since it has started. Climbed up in the bumpy and jumpy
road due to road widening, turning left and right, reached Thrimshingla covered
with white snow. Then inclining down, crossing the Namling, a very narrow and
deep cliff finally stopped for a lunch at Sangor. One thing you should know is
that you will not get Doma in Sangor. I have searched for it in every shop and
could not get it. Further benching down to the village known for Tangma we
reached to Yangbari. Finally, we have reached Lingmitang and then to
Gyelposing. I am seeing Gyelposhing for the first time. It was nicely planned
and many structures would come in the future.

Team MHPA |
There
we were asked to report to the football ground for a friendly match with Tala
Hydropower Plant staff. We went directly to the ground and saw nobody at the
place. Upon inquiry, they informed us that they are checking in the rooms and
will report after that only. After confirming the players from MHPA, it is
exactly 12 heads with no escape and you are bound to play for full time. So the
match started with me defending from the Right side. It was so tiring for me to
run and I was like when will the match end. The first half ended with a score
of MHP 5 : 2 THP. The players of THP were well set and they have an extra player
changing every now and then. All play well and all want to score only to be stopped
by our main Defender, JMD sir. He was shouting, “Penjor, Jushhhh……:. Finally, the game came to an end with a score of MHP 9 : 2 THP.
The
lodging was arranged in the Gyelposhing college and the room was allocated in
our name with the list displayed on the notice board. Dinner is served in
the mess.

Receiving Certificate of participation |
It
is the third Technical Conference for DGPC with a theme “New Decade, New
Challenges”. The team of KHP has arranged in a meticulous way that every
participant felt it homely. With a good intention to reduce paper usage,
DGPC Tech Conference App was launched so that every news and announcement was
feed into the App and can be fetched within a second. Similarly, the Raffle Draw
was conducted online.

Bon fire Dinner |
The first day of the Technical conference was started with a Marching ceremony and the chief guest was President of Gyelposhing College of Information Technology.
After that, the participants were made to respective halls for paper
presentations. It was divided into three categories depending upon the content
of the paper. I was allotted to Room-2.
The paper presentation started with every presentation presented in front of the
Judges. I was the seventh presenter which falls pre-lunch break. Looking at the
presentation and hearing the biography of every presenter, I can see all have
done the Masters and presenting a very sophisticated topic and that made me feel if my content is enough to be called the paper. It was just a simple
construction methodology as per the practical experience.
My turn came with lighting speed. I have done my part with questions and answers
supported by JMD and Chief sir. It was quite a relief to have done my part. A certificate of participation is awarded after the presentation.
After
lunch, the panel discussion was done in the main hall the topic “ Rebranding
DGPC”. The bonfire was arranged with the pitching of tents. Many cultural activities
were arranged to entertain the participants and guests. Drinks of every brand
are served that extends till 11:30 PM when the dinner is served.

Receiving HE Namkhai Ningpo Rinpoche |
The second day started early in the morning of 8:30 AM with Marching ceremony
because HE Namkhai Ningpo Rinpoche will be blessing the participants with
KaGo. The chief guest of 2nd day was Dasho MD, DGPC. Paper
presentation in the respective rooms was done and it was then that Dasho MD
visited our room. We had a photo session with Dasho.
Then
it was followed with the second-panel discussion with a topic “Refocusing on O
& M” followed by some motivational talks. Dinner at the same venue is
served with the same style of serving the drinks. That came with the Technical
conference and team MHPA was invited for the 13th DGPC Annual Conference
on 23.12.2019 where they will discuss the issues related to DGPC.

MHPA Team with Dasho MD |
We
have attained the morning session of the conference and after that, we headed
to the Kurichhu power plant. Made a visit inside the powerhouse. It was very
refreshing when we went for boating at the Kurichu Dam reservoir. The catchment
area of reservoir was very large that you can’t see the end of it. While
ascending up we can see an island in the middle with one chorten and we made
one circumambulate of it and returned back.
The
final dinner was arranged near the riverside with the lightings of different color
fixed, bonfire burning and the cool breeze flowing through the chilled body of
the participants. The ground on the spot was sprayed with a layer of sand with
the intention of Beach Dining kind of feeling to be instilled in participants. The cultural program was staged with Drinks served.

Boating |
It was an honor to participate in the Conference. Met with many professions of
DGPC, interacted with many experts and known many new faces. Met with my
college mate (2012 Graduate) although all have completed their masters.
I would
like to sincerely thank the organizers headed by KHP Plant head for the great
arrangements. Everything was perfect and systematic. I wish for the same at the
next Conference.
