Two Zero Two Zero

With Friends
It’s the first week of 2020 after bidding farewell to 2019, the year that we loved and cared the most. It’s a win-win situation for the year 2019 because of the fact that we are alive to welcome 2020 after successfully spending 2019. As we embark into the new year we never realize that we are stepping closer to the death bed. Until the situation worsens, we never think of it.
Anyways, as I bid farewell to 2019 and welcome 2020, I thank God almighty for the peaceful yearlong happiness. The year was good for me individually and also for the Mangdechhu project. MHPA commissioned in 2019, generating revenues for the country. I hope 2020 will observe the smooth transition from MHPA to DGPC.
With beautiful people around, it was always a momentous journey. Together we have created some of the best moments that shall be cherished forever. We never know when we will have the same gatherings that we did and I am skeptical of it because some of our friends have already left. At the end of the year, it was sad to see some of the staff leaving already. Nevertheless, the long-awaited incentive broke through its nap time and disbursed to all the employees of MHPA as decided by the Authority.
As always, the gathering with a bonfire was arranged in the Clubhouse. This time there was a little twist, with the outgoing staff as a guest. I was also enlisted as a guest because soon I will be leaving for Dangdung and that happened on the 3rd of January 2020, that whole of my family got shifted to Dangdung.
Party Full ON
2020 will be a challenging year for my professional life in the sense that I take over the full responsibility of Contracts and Procurement Division with Mr. DungkarLa leaving soon. I hope and pray that I perform my duties diligently and always look forward to keeping his legacy sailing. I may not be that perfect but will never let go of that easily. My challenge to change the mindset of people shall be tough. The mindset that the Procurement Officers are pictured as someone who is benefited directly or indirectly by the means of other external sources should be waved off. I don’t really understand why that is so when the guidelines are clearcut using SAP, a sophisticated software.

I left hatred, regret, ego, jealousy, etc with 2019 and welcome 2020 with a fresh mind. As such I have no particular resolution but I shall stick with my principles of self-care. I have read in some posts that if one happens to write a date in any papers or in any legal documents, one should be mindful to write it in full-year (i,e 2020) not 20 as we used to write 2019 as 19.
e.g: 1st January 2019 can be written as 01.01.19. While in the case of 2020 it can't be written as 01.01.20, because manipulation may be done in the year. It can be easily written as 2019/2018/2017...

2020 please treat us well.
2020 please keep us safe.
2020 please make us happy.
2020 please grant us blessings.
