"A payment or concession to stimulate greater output or investment" is what the dictionary defines incentive. 
The word INCENTIVE rings in every ear of MHPAians since from July-2019. It was from that time that it was heard and never materialize until November-2019. Finally, the much-awaited news was out with office order circulated for the disbursement of the incentive to all the employees who have served MHPA as on 30th September 2019. 

Many have planned as to how to utilize the amount in the best way a long time back. By now I am petty sure that all the plans are forgotten. It has perfectly served as an example of "Never to Count the Chickens before it's hatched". Nevertheless, it is always good to have it planned and keep it ready when the right time comes. 

For the order to come into life, it has gone through so many deliberations and proposals after proposals. Firstly, it was proposed by MHPA management to the Authority meeting that the incentive/cash reward for all the employees will motivate them in performing the duties and commissioning the project in record time. The authority directed the management to work out the payment modalities and present it to the next Authority meeting. Subsequently, the modalities are worked out and presented to the meeting considering those employees who have served a minimum of three years in MHPA. The higher scale of 500,000/- and lowest ring to 35,000/- has been proposed. It was then decided that it shall be discussed once MHPA commission. Story continues with the recent Authority meeting which has turned the table completely upside down. 
It was decided that the upper ceiling to be 300,000/- and lower ceiling to 100,000/-. The proposal for those employees who left MHPA before 30th September 2019 was not taken into account. It was also confirmed that 1 2 3 lakhs will be disbursed and the management was asked to form the range of group depending on grades into 3 three groups. Accordingly, the management has formed a group as mentioned below:
  1. MD - SE (Grade A1 - B) ====> 300,000/-
  2. EE - JE (Grade C - F) ======> 200,000/-
  3. SO - Consolidated (Grade G - Q) ===> 100,000/-

The news came as a relief to one section of employees and for other sections, it was not a piece of soothing news. Many discussions have been made in WeChat group. Some questioned the reasons for setting September end as the base when the project has officially commissioned in August 2019. Some raised the basis for segregating the groups. Many were not sure of the condition for those who have served since inception (some says 6, 7 + years) and left before 30th September and left out in the incentive bracket. Most were disgruntled for the fact that the number of services in MHPA was not taken into account (working for 8 years is treated equivalent to those who were newly recruited and hardly served 6 months).

Nevertheless, nothing will be fair and it is very difficult to make everyone happy at the same time with the same circumstance. For one lot of happy people, there will be other lots with dissatisfaction. That's how it should be going and how it should flow. 

Above all, I am keenly waiting for the incentive to be credited but then the external source says it will be done on 17th December. We have been patience for 5 months, it will never demoralize for all to wait for 20 more days 😆😆😆.
