Sincerely wishing you all It was yesterday a year 2021 and today it is 2022. As we realized, it will be 2023 tomorrow, so on and so forth. Second to seconds – minute to minutes – hour to hours – day to days – week to weeks – month to months, a year is being formed and we don’t really care how we have spent those seconds, minutes, hours, weeks, months until it is a year-end. As the year 2021 ends and the New Year of 2022 begins, every corner of the world celebrates and welcomes the New Year with many resolutions. Many promises are made which are barely kept. I find many people promising big and doing it small. The next day is normal with same work and same life. Sometimes, I feel New Year should be with different responsibilities at different places. Baby Yee Baby Yee turns 1 on 11 th  December 2021. He knows nothing of it and of all, baby Thai was so excited to celebrate. Born in Thimphu, raised at Trongsa and 1 st  Birthday celebrated at Yangtse. I wish my young man a very happy birthday. Early morning, Mom, Azam, and Atshung performed Tshokor in the name of baby Yee. Then a small cake-cutting ceremony was conducted. To make the day memorable, a potluck lunch was organized along with near and dear friends at Yangtse. Baby Yee, A year ago, when you were handed over to me by the medical team of JDWNRH, you were so tiny and I gently held you. I had a dream that time and that dream is to make your dreams come true. As you grow to a big man of mine, you shall realize your dreams and we together shall chase your dreams. I am hopeful, we will be great companion together. The day you were born in this universe, fate is written along with you. Whatever happens in life, it was all pre-planned that coexist with you wherever you go. All happens for a reason and the reason is fate. We neither can’t ignore it nor do we have an option to do so. If every individual has an opportunity to change the course of our fate, I can feel almost all the people will opt for a change. The luxury someone enjoys, we have no idea of their sufferings behind. As the day approaches, my heart beats the hardest, Woke up with a refreshing mind and the sun seems the brightest. As I lit my butter lamp in my alter, All I can pray is to make this day better.    Doubts gushing through my poor heart, Participation of all the participants was a must.  Fortunately, everyone cooperated, I wholeheartedly appreciated.   With only one vehicle that has been arranged, Two trips are to be managed. The Brunel Medal presented to MHPA Wonders are those who make history written somewhere by someone. It becomes a benchmark for the upcoming generation to look up to and follow suit to stand to it. Yes, it can be achieved individually and as a team too. MHPA, located in Trongsa Bhutan has created one. In the point of the engineering world, MHPA has achieved wonders. MHPA received Brunel Award – 2020 from the prestigious London-based Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). The award was given as a mark of excellence in civil engineering. It should be the proudest moment for all those who have engaged in building this mega project – the past and the present employees, contractors, laborers, stakeholders, etc. It was possible due to the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices undergone by every individual. The doctor on duty prescribes you some medicines and you obediently take the advice of a doctor in taking the prescribed medicines. In some cases, you will be asked to receive a jab to which you will graciously follow the order and receive one. All are done to subside the pain and to overcome the diseases that are infected in us without having a second thought of questioning the doctors dictating on us. Many times in our life we meet lots of people and deal with them as per the demanding circumstances. We really don’t exist alone. We all are dependable on one another and coexists together. The more we deal, the more we come to know about them. The more we know, the more we tend to observe and be cautious of their behavior and attitude. After careful observation it contemplates to the likeness. Sometimes the mood swings and the likeness of one become hatred leaving all the earlier hardship of meeting & observation. Some people show one attitude in front and other qualities at the backside of our face. The most difficult thing one can imagine is to understand humans. I have someone to call my own and I feel lucky to have two little creatures in my life, my daughter and my little son. My son turned 5 months on 11 th May 2021 and my daughter turned 5 years on 27 th June 2021. They are growing beautifully and handsomely to my eyes that could be otherwise for others. Representing MHPA, C1, C2 & C4 Package To prepare the forces for capturing the particular place OR the intended area, the particular force is rigorously trained and the code words are shared amongst themselves. More  trainings are conducted and more maps are studied. Similarly, more instructions are received and the leader of the troop makes it clear that his teammates are clear with the mission. For a successful mission to accomplish, everyone must work as a team. The instruction was clear and the ToR (Terms of Reference) was loud. A team lead by Chief Engineer, DHPS along with the members from DHPS, DGPC, BPC proceeded to MHPA and arrived at the station on 2 nd June 2021 with a mission to formulate the transition of MHPA to MHP (to cut off the letter A). A team of 11 members came to MHPA to prepare the reports and present them to the chairman, MHPA for further action from his end representing the RGoB. Participants from MHPA The majority of the Contractors in Bhutan are comprised of those who have left monkhood (GayTay), dropouts, cow herder, (thab thob - bag bog). There are another lot of people comprising of Dashos, Bussiness tycoons, Engineers and even retired Lynpos into the Construction sector. Once the retirement age is reached, the only option found is to become a contractor. Anyone can become a contractor in Bhutan. You need no qualification nor you need the education to become one. Due to many contractors coming up in the market the works become scarce. Many opt to play do and die for the want of work, meaning they quote the lowest while bidding, which leads to the direct quality compromise. Some contractors become bankrupt due to the low rates. As I came across the bypass road of Samcholing – Khoshala, I came to realize that we forget the old highway that we used to travel and give no attention that it requires viz; annual maintenance, proper drainage system, potholes, clearing, etc. if the bypass was not constructed, that road shall be the only road that will reach us to our destination. I said “ Thank you ” as I cross the junction. With the opening of the new bridge at Telegangchu, the old bridge lies above without care and it looks haunted. It was abandoned after serving its purpose. It stuck me to a feeling that it would have served thousands of vehicles and people reaching to the other side. When the new one was inaugurated with celebrations, no one dares to talk about the old bridge.
