Update from my Site
No Trespassing, please ☺ |
Sitting on the same Old Chair, using the same old table, hearing the same old sound (tap water in the toilet), BUT then there is a different feeling in my heart that says so; with no one at sight, no sound of Dumpers/Machineries, no sight of laborers rushing for the food, no shouting of the foreman instructing for the work. Not even a dog is found as on today. Everyone has left after giving their best
to complete the work. Many footprints have left behind to be cherished by the people of Bhutan. Wads of tears have been shed and a hatful of sweats being dropped while in the construction period. Many people with different profession have joined their hearts and together with a single target, they have constructed what we see today. I applaud with all my heart to those who have been the part of the team and I sincerely hope that their hard work will benefit the country as a whole.

In this very same room (office), I remember sleeping, eating, learning, reading, writing, discussing, etc.... I call this place my Home and it has served not only me and my team but also the team from Adit-I. I shall be remembering this place, my first site office, throughout my life. It has provided me a shelter that we were not in the initial period (2012). I have a clear picture when I used to watch the construction activities sitting on the boulder, with an umbrella, always a backpack carried (that holds Drawings, TS, Manuals, etc), a lunchbox kept under the tree, until a time (late 2013) when M/s MIPL provided us with one room (small) for our office. It was a difficult time for us to discharge our duties efficiently. Then came up with this beautiful structure, I call MY HOME.
Looking through the window, I can see the types of machinery (Transit Mixer, Dumpers, Excavators, etc) lined up, I can observe the pipelines being stacked, scraps piled, all ready to be transported. The dismantling of Cement godown and Batching Plant has been done (the two structures used to stand majestically tall). The site is calm and quite with the breeze doing its job, blowing away the clouds of dust. I wonder where the hounds of the dog went? Were they transferred to some other place or did they die of hunger?
All I wish is to Get Things going.
