Acquainting with SKETCH UP

1. Adit-II Portal
Getting myself accustomed to the toolbars and the preferences that we are availed when using the Sketchup setup file, I am getting some of the shapes (readily available) at sight into reality. It took me for a while in getting used to the punch keys and then to create into a 3D imaginary drawings. It's the intrusion that I followed in getting me to learn the usage of the software. It was difficult at first place in getting into the required shape and size. Gradually it made it somewhat possible and looked like the shape I presumed I was creating. 
2. Adit-II Plug

Started with the chairs and tables while at the site. I used to measure the length and width of the table (even the thickness) to create it. I studied some of the shortcuts and eventually came to create the buildings. It gives me immense pleasure to re-create the things that are close to me. Therefore, I went on to create my Adit-II Portal and then Adit Plug and I consider it as a Tribute for being part of me (7 years of me). I hope I have done justice in replicating it in perfect shape. Then I went on for creating MHPA Dam which came out to be better than the previous projects. I tried
3. MHPA Dam
creating Chorten Kora (which I doubt) coz it's not really looking like the one. Chorten Kora is a significant religious monument in our country and I dedicated it as a protector of the valley and the country as a whole. Creating the shape of chorten (which I was doing for the first time) was difficult for me. I hope I will do justice in my next project. I started to work on creating Dechenphug Lhakhang and then went on creating Dochula. My 7th shapes came out to be the HRT Office, Dam Colony. 

 These days, I am working on with the Dzongs and I am planning to create all the Dzongs (20 Nos.) starting with Trongsa. It's my 7th time that I am re-doing
4. Chorten Kora
Trongsa Dzong which I have guts saying, it's not coming to the shape. Every time I fails, it gives me a lesson to redo it in a better way. It gives me an opportunity to explore other means so that it comes to the desired shape and size.

THP HRT Rectification Work

My bedding packed In this current situation, Bhutan is solely dependent on Hydropower generation for the government to function after the closure of Tourism. Hydropower sectors cannot afford to lose time without generation and every hydropower plant in Bhutan is striving to live up to that standard. Unfortunately, Tala Hydropower Plant (THP), the largest power plant with a generating capacity of 1020MW has got some issues wherein the experts believe to be the issue related to HRT (Head Race Tunnel). A chunk of concrete was found inside the MIV (Main Inlet Valve) to which the decision of dewatering the water conductor system and rectifying was planned. As part of the manpower arrangement, I was nominated as a site engineer from MHPA. The news came as a surprise for me during the eleventh hour. As I came across the bypass road of Samcholing – Khoshala, I came to realize that we forget the old highway that we used to travel and give no attention that it requires viz; annual maintenance, proper drainage system, potholes, clearing, etc. if the bypass was not constructed, that road shall be the only road that will reach us to our destination. I said “ Thank you ” as I cross the junction. With the opening of the new bridge at Telegangchu, the old bridge lies above without care and it looks haunted. It was abandoned after serving its purpose. It stuck me to a feeling that it would have served thousands of vehicles and people reaching to the other side. When the new one was inaugurated with celebrations, no one dares to talk about the old bridge. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the bridge was built by DNC without realizing, it was possible only because of the old bridge. Now, no one gives a shit to the point of even glancing at it.
